ABOUT CAM'S CAUSE

Cam’s Cause’ was founded in 2014 by a tight group of lifelong friends and gained registered charity status in early 2016. Cam's Cause is also a Deductible Gift Recipient.

Since its formation, Cams's Cause has been working to celebrate the life of CPL Cameron Baird VC MG. We aim to inspire people by sharing Cam's story of a lived lived full of morals and virtues. As well as raising awareness for the outstanding work that is done by our Australian Military.

Cameron was an exceptionally modest man who, when on home soil spent significant time supporting organizations that raised money for soldier welfare.

Cams Cause aims is to continue Cameron's passion for soldier welfare and to facilitate an opportunity to pay tribute to, and thank an ordinary citizen who will be remembered as an extraordinary Australian.

Cam’s Cause achieved registered charity status in 2016 and is also a registered deductible gift recipient.

As a result of our efforts, Cam's Cause has been able to donate over $35000 to the Commando Welfare Trust. A Trust which looks after the families of soldiers who been effected by there service. www.commandotrust.com

The team aims to raise much needed funds to help build specially designed camps that provide a unique environment incorporating general outdoor activities and specialist help that have been created by the 2nd Commando Regiments Human Performance Wing. These camps have been created for Commandos by Commandos and are proven to make a difference in assisting recovery from physical and mental injuries.

We could think of no better way to honour Cameron than assisting his beloved 2nd Commando Regiment and the soldiers that protect our way of life from the frontline.

In Cameron’s locker he had the words “Aspire to Inspire”, this is the best summary of what kind of man he really was.
